Installing GeoGATE

In this section, you will explore steps for installing GeoGATE on windows machine.

System Requirements:

  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.1 or Higher; you can install it from this link
  • Microsoft Internet Information Service (IIS), you can enable it from windows features; for more information, explore this link for installing IIS on Windows

After installing .NET Framework and IIS, download GeoGATE Installer from Download Page, and run the installation as shown below.


Read the license agreement carefully, and if you accept its terms, click I Agree, and click Next as in the screenshot below.

Select the installation directory, and click next as shown below.

Specify a port on which GeoGATE will run, make sure that this port is not used by any other application; if you choose port 80, make sure to stop the Default Application site in IIS.

Wait until the installer finishes the installation.

When the installation successfully completes, click on Close as in the screenshot below.

Now, GeoGATE is installed and ready to use, open it from Desktop or Start Menu as shown below.

GeoGATE Manager will initialize through web browser; to proceed, sign in with default admin account:

  • Username: Admin@admin.com
  • Password: Password#1

You can change the default password from account settings.

After logging in, click on GeoGATE as shown below.

Right now, the apps page will appear, by default there is one app (Default App) so click on it to start customizing it, or add another new app and start customizing it.

Now, you will be redirected to settings, that contain modules for managing and customizing the application as shown below.
